How your research record is handled

What is collected

Your account identity, Beta membership and sport enrollment; research preferences; assigned matchups; autosaved drafts and revisions; immutable submissions; review openings and optional feedback; and matchup-specific learning records.

Why it is used

These records provide access, save and resume your work, preserve what you believed before an event, support authorized comparison after submission, and improve personalized teaching. WITB does not use your research to place wagers or submit picks for you.

Who can see it

You can see your own work. Authorized WITB research administrators can inspect Beta operations and research integrity. Other analysts do not receive your private draft or identity. Anonymized cohort comparison is withheld until at least three independent submissions exist for the same event.

Retention and withdrawal

Drafts and account settings may be updated while active. Submitted research and its audit history are retained as an immutable scientific record. You may pause participation or ask a WITB Beta administrator to deactivate your access. Deactivation does not rewrite or falsely erase an already-submitted historical record.

Frank and external AI processing

When governed online Frank is active and you submit a question, WITB sends that question and only the WITB context your account is authorized to use to its configured external AI processor, OpenAI. WITB does not send another owner’s private context. Frank is advice-only and cannot execute lineups, waivers, trades, Formula changes, Challenge submissions, Contest entries, wagers, or commissioner actions.

WITB minimizes the context sent, requests response storage be disabled through store: false, and records request identity, model, status, usage, and cost for operational accountability. The usage ledger does not duplicate full private chat text. The storage setting is not a claim that the processor has zero operational retention. If online Frank is unavailable, WITB does not make an external AI call.

Your Frank conversation is kept in your private WITB history. Removing it makes it unavailable to you and prevents it from being resumed; WITB retains the protected audit and safety record required for accountability.

Service providers and security

Authentication and research data are processed through WITB's configured Supabase project, the website is delivered through GitHub Pages, and governed online Frank uses OpenAI as described above. WITB user access is email-based and restricted to approved accounts with an active Beta role. GitHub is engineering infrastructure only and is not a WITB user sign-in method. Protect your email account and sign out of WITB on shared devices.

Questions, access, or correction

Use the WITB contact page to request access to your information, correct account details, pause participation, or ask a privacy question. Research judgments already submitted remain historically accurate and are not silently edited.
